Free Online Photography Classes From Nikon

Nikon Offers Free Online Photography Classes April 2020

In the backdrop of COVID-19, many creatives are looking for ways to be productive while social distancing. Increasing your photography and video recording skills are great ways to maximize your time. To assist in this effort, Nikon is offering free online photography courses throughout the month of April. The online video classes are typically offered for a fee, but according to Nikon, the intend is “to empower creators. …We can do that by helping creators stay inspired, engaged and growing.”

The classes vary in focus (no pun intended) from understanding your Nikon DSLR, to fundamentals of photography, to the art of making music videos. The classes range from 15 minutes to over an hour, and the video format makes it easy to learn at your own pace. Even if you don’t have a Nikon DSLR, you can benefit from the general photographic principals.

“As we navigate through these challenging times together, photography is essential because it has the power to inspire, and remind us of the importance of the human connection as we isolate and distance ourselves,” said Jay Vannatter, EVP at Nikon. “At Nikon, we remain committed to empowering storytellers of all levels, and right now there are many stories to tell.”
